RX350 (2017) Infotainment Screen
Hi there,
Test drove a used RX350, 2017 model, it was a base trim with smaller info screen (and no navigation). Great car, but I am wondering if it is possible to switch to a bigger screen and have navigation ready? Sales person from lexus said aftermarket is the way to do it since they won't, but is there an easier way? Do i need to order the bigger screen separately, will it even work? Or is there a way to implement apple car play onto small existing one with less hassle of de-assembling whole front console, is there a wireless way?
Thanks.

The only way to get CarPlay on the existing head unit in a base 2017 RX would be through BeatSonic, and I believe it's a bit more labour intensive than just deassembling the front console, although not rocket science and there's a few YouTube videos that'll guide you through it.
Otherwise, seeing as you're from Ontario too, you're better off looking at a 2017 RX with the Luxury package. Some of them are not that much more expensive than the base model, and you'd save yourself the hassle of trying to install a bigger head unit after the fact. Although, you would still have to go aftermarket if you absolutely have to have CarPlay.
