Yesterday, I noticed a couple of lug nuts of my 2017 RX 350 are showing rust. Since the lockdown, the car has been sitting on my driveway. Has that happened to your vehicle?
The locking lugs were probably of a poorer quality.
We have the wheel locks as well - are those Lexus OEM? I actually hate the wheel locks and keep promising myself I'm going to replace them with the regular ones.

This thread brings to mind that the non-locking lug nuts with a separate chromed "cap" (part number 90084-94001) used on most Toyota and Lexus models assembled in North America including the gen 4 RX are subject to swelling to the point that they cannot be removed without breaking a threaded lug. This problem seems to be more likely to affect vehicles driven in areas where corrosion is more common such as where road salt is used.
A solution is to replace the original lug nuts used on vehicles assembled in North America with part number 90942-01033 which is used on Toyota and Lexus including the RX assembled in Japan. The lug nuts used on the vehicles assembled in Japan do not have a separate chromed cap under which water and salt can penetrate.
The lug nuts on Toyota/Lexus vehicles assembled in North America can be easily identified by looking for the seam between the chrome plated cap and the lug nut. The lug nuts used on vehicles assembled in Japan are 1-piece and do not have this seam. If you replace your lug nuts with the Japanese market ones, verify that the dealership has not substituted the ones for vehicles assembled in the U.S. - that has happened to some folks.
