Steering wheel assist not working below certain temperature
Hello,
today was colder than usual 17 degrees and I’ve realized that the steering wheel assist stop working. I am assuming that this is part of the safety features on its system. Obviously this would make sense to me... but I am just assuming this is the case. Can anybody give me your feedback about it?, are my assumptions correct?, what other systems are not active because of change in temperature?
Thank you for your feedback.
I have an '18 but temperature is not listed as one of the variables. You might try selecting the MultiFunction screen that displays the 2 lane lines in the center display, see if you get a display or error, then also whether the lines are black or white inside the lines, indicating sensing the lanes. Also, at least on the '18, the small icon below the MultiFunction turns green when it detects steering assist, amber if it senses lane departure, likewise if the small icon is not there you may have accidentally turned it all off with the steering wheel button. The downloadable manual likely has similar detail for the '20.
