Turn on/turn off Front View Camera
17 will as well, i just push the button if needed. i stop in traffic way more often than i park, so no auto for me. every stop sign, stop light you come to the camera will turn on the screen,
Perhaps someone can explain how to get the camera to stop automatically coming on when I brake? Yeah, I’m sure it’s in the book somewhere.
Press the button for the Panoramic View Monitor when you're in D or stopped at a light, and use the touchpad to deselect the "AUTO" at the bottom left of the screen underneath the front camera view.
Thank you for the reply. I now am able to shut off the auto camera thing. One further question: What is the almost fully blocked out middle area of the screen. You can sort of see what's in front of you there, but it's like there are heavy sunglasses over an almost rectangular middle area from the top of the screen. ??

There's a thread somewhere way back about the dark spot on the middle of the screen when the front camera is displayed.
If I remember correctly, it's supposed to be a safety feature to prevent drivers from looking at the screen while they're driving. Although, that's a terrible excuse when other manufacturers don't have the spot on their front camera displays and the front camera only turns on when you're at low speeds or stopped anyways...
That said, it is annoying, but you can still see through it if you look hard enough and I don't find it to be too obtrusive when I absolutely need the front camera.

My wife and I just got our 17 RX350 F-Sport. The one we originally test drove anytime you were going under 5 mph the 360 camera would come on. On the one we purchased that was not on. How do I turn that feature on?
With transmission in D and stopped, press the camera button on the console (bottom left, next to the steering wheel heater if I'm not mistaken). This should bring up the 360 cameras.
Now, on the screen, there should be a button called 'Auto' on the bottom left. Highlight the button with the controller and press on it. This toggles the setting for the cameras at low speed.
