Default AUTO Setting - Panoramic Camera System

Okay so, I've had my car for well over a year. Thought I knew everything about it! Use the 360 camera all the time, but have to push the view button when I need it when not reversing or when it pops up when super close to something in front. I noticed the "auto" button today when the camera was displayed or have in the past but didn't think twice - went ahead and pushed it and voila - camera pops up all the time - during traffic, when I slow down at lights, stop signs, parking in open lots, etc. I love it - I wish I knew about this a long time ago - my other half got busted for being to far into a crosswalk - now I can see immediately if I'm over the white line, inbetween lines, etc. without having to push the view button! Guess I should've know, but hey whatever! Love it so far!

Anyone else, use that feature or never realized what it was for???

Yep I have the camera on auto - like you said it's great pulling into parking spots, you slow down and on comes the camera, ready for you just as it's needed.

I always back in. When I need to use when in D, I'll just push the button. Not really like it pop up everytime I slow down, especially I'm selecting something on the screen.

The wife insists on auto button because there are too many buttons & electronic stuffs in this car. She doesn't want to pick & choose while driving.

Default My front camera has gone black

Hello. My front camera has gone black on the screen and there's an exclamation mark on the botton. Tried pressing the view button and clicking Auto. Still black. Any advice?

Default Turn on/turn off Front View Camera

Just got our new RX 450hl last week. Initially when we would slow down to below 5mph or so the front camera would automatically come on along with the panoramic view. This was real handy when going into parking spaces. Yes, it is a pain when it turns on every time I stop at a red light or stop sign but I'd rather have that than nothing at all. Well, after I fiddled with the seemingly thousands of personal adjustments you can make on this car I somehow turned that function off. So my question is, how do I turn it back on and is there a simple way to manually turn it on and off?

Thanks so very much!

push the button for the cam to turn on, left of the wheel, by the gas door release area , once it turns on, hit the auto on the display.
might have to be in gear with foot on the brake, otherwise it will give you the fly over i think

JSracer got it. Push the second button on the second row, bottom left hand side of the steering wheel.

I normally keep it off and turn it on manually when I'm parking. Amazing feature to help you tell the distance between the hood of your car and whatever is in front of you.

Thanks so much for the speedy reply and easy fix. I've decided now that I know how to quickly turn it on there is no need to go auto. Oh the wonders of a new car!

Thanks so much for the rapid response. I love being able to tell the distance in front. Now I have to gain some confidence on what is is showing me and how close I actually am. Loving my Lexus!
