We are in the same boat for the most part and I just leased one on Saturday. Will be paying $330 bi weekly, but I had a trade in. They are giving me the 2021 f sport 3 in blue. My trade in value was $17,400. Message me to talk more if you want the nitty gritty.

MSRP is CAD $69,850 and dealer offered close to $3,600 off, so roughly 5%. We can cut down the lease interest to 0% with our Loyalty Rate Reduction and $10,000 security deposit to save ourselves another $2300 in a 39 months lease.
Total monthly fee should come to just over $930 with expected residue value at $36,322 on 20,000 km/year. I don't expect to go near the km allowance.
ETA is end of Oct.
Thoughts? Oh, and I'm ordering a blue one if you were wondering.
I'm looking to get a 2020 RX and I'm curious if it's feasible to get one for under $40k now that the 2021 models are going on sale?
I sent a message to a dealer asking what is the lowest they will go under invoice and am waiting for a reply. I notice people in here are quoting MSRP instead of invoice, am I being too aggressive thinking I can get below invoice right now?
Once I get a dealer to commit to a price can I then come back and have that dealer essentially build my configuration based off that price? Or will they only sell me something they already have on the lot at that point since they are giving me a deal?
Depends on location. If you live in CA, you may find a dealer willing to offload one if you are flexible about color and features. To score a deal under 40k, you are looking at a base model FWD and the dealer willing to go 10% off MSRP plus 3k Lexus cash. And it won't be one to your spec or color preference.
You may have a better chance to find a 2019 certified RX with <10k miles under 40k. It will cover 2 year maintenance and additional warranty.

Thanks for the feedback. Looking at the end of the 2019 RX pricing thread it looks like some people got into the low 40s but like you said those configurations were likley not well spec'd. If I can get a 2020 with Nav, Moonroof, and the basic blindspot lane assist type safety features I'd be happy.
Got my 2020 RX without Nav & FWD, with 20in wheels, and dealer promotions back in March got it into the high 40's. I'm located in NC, and it was an inventory SUV on the lot.
So it my be possible if it's not a build order 2021.
Good luck, and let us know what you end up with....
Hey all so is Nov/Dec the best time to buy an RX? I'm trying to get fully loaded 350 F sport, 12.3" Navigation System w/Mark Levinson Audio, triple beam headlights, panoramic sunroof, F sport, Panoramic Camera. I live in Miami area, what kindof price you feel would be a good price? About 53k was one offer that after the 3k lexus cash. I still feel that to high, but open to the experts here! This would be my first Lexus normally I drive Honda's but really like how this truck looks and should last.

I am looking at the same RX F-sport you are looking at, but here in the midwest area. However, I am not really looking for the 2020 models anymore unless you buy it now. It is highly likely that the 2020 f-sports will be all gone in Dec. I am planning on purchasing a 2021 model in Dec currently. With the 3k rebate for a 61k ish lexus, getting the sales price down to 53k is a really good deal tbh since it's about 12-13% off. Now the problem is that Lexus rebate for 2021 in Dec is usually around $1500. In addition, these triple-beam ones are quite rare, and I see them disappear from the lot quickly. So dealership might not be your best friend in terms of the discount. For me, I would be more than satisfied if my OTD is around 58k after all. Has anyone else purchased an f-sport with triple-beam? Please let both of us know how was the deal.
First time posting. Thanks for all the previous postings. I learned a lot and here is one more piece of info for other potential buyers. Hopefully it is useful.
I recently purchased a 2020 rx350. MSRP is $541xx. After discount before TTL is $448xx. I emailed all the dealers within 250 miles and found three motivated sellers that were willing to negotiate. I’m in CA.
my previous car was Audi and I hope I don’t have to go through the much headaches with this new one.

Such numbers are not available in the Ohio on a 2020. Competition must be fierce in the Golden State.

there are at least a dozen dealers within 250mi radius. Yes, they wanted to win my business. I showed my quote to a dealer last week and it only took a few min to beat the number and that was the end of negotiation. But of course it preceded with hours of email haggling with all of them.
Wife and I are coming out of an Audi SQ5 lease that is up in a couple of months. Drove the 350 and 450h and decided on the 450h.. Having dealer look for the following:
450h
F Sport
Nav/Mark Levinson
Heated/Ventilated front seats
HUD
Heated steering wheel
Cold weather package
Triple Beam adaptive headlights
360 camera
Moonroof
Looking for either Matador Red or Nebula Gray... Hope they find something soon, but technically have until Dec to turn in the Audi..
edit: also looked at Infiniti QX50 and Lincoln Nautilus...
I am looking for an RX450h F Sport Performance, white on red. Gonna hafta be a 2021.
I expext to get 3 to 5K discount plus Lexus cash. This is a sought after car.
I could do better on. a white on black, but want that red interior. Or any other 2020 for that matter.
I'm having a tough time finding the kind of deals I see in here.
I think I got bait and switched last night, had a dealer lure me in by saying they'd give me invoice pricing before $3K Lexus cash. When I got in there it definitely was not invoice pricing. In fact they wouldn't even show me the invoice, only MSRP with all the "dealer discounts" on the price breakdown. Best deal they offered was on a car with MSRP of 53K they took it down to 47K before TTL. They actually had a 2019 F sport with MSRP of 60K and less than a 100 miles that I thought they would get rid of for low 30s....came back asking for 52K before TTL.
Am I being unreasonable with my expectations here? It's hard to take these kind of prices when between this thread and the '19 price thread I'm seeing people get OTD around mid 40s during this time of year. The dealer told me he's seen deals like that but it was when they had 100 cars on the lot and right now inventory is low due to covid shut down and high demand

This may not be the best way to deal but it worked for my purchase. I had some target price before TTL. After many emails and after I got the best price, I asked for OTD Before heading there so I don’t have to worry about hidden fees or other unexpected cost.
It only took me few email exchanges with a dealer to get 16% off. That dealer didn’t have much inventory to my surprise too. Other dealers with plenty in stock were the ones that would not budge. So I would contact all the dealers if possible.

I think that you can take many reports of prices paid with a grain of salt because trade-in values and doc fees (2 things frequently not mentioned) can really skew the numbers.
As for your expectations: It is reasonable to expect a dealer to adhere to a quoted price. When one won't, run, don't walk. It is highly unreasonable to expect a 60K list '19 to sell in the 30s. A local dealer here sent me an email on Friday touting 10 grand off their leftover '19s that stickered in that vicinity. Edmunds suggested that the selling price for one of those units should be just $250 lower, so that's probably about the limit.
