Hey guys I have a 2019 rx f sport and I noticed that the passenger heated/ventilated seat would stay in the ON position when in "auto" mode. When I first bought the car it would sense someone sitting there and then turn it on when left on auto mode. But now even when there is no one sitting in the passenger seat it will be turned on. Its just kind of annoying. I just had my 5k maintenance done and i asked about the problem and the representative told me that "some are just like that, and it can vary from month to month of production" which I find is bs but I didnt have the time to argue today. Does anyone else have this problem? I'm sure its just a pressure switch that is stuck on the ON position if im not mistaken? Thoughts? My friends nx senses when someone is in the seat and only turns on the seat fans when someone is sitting there..
Well I went through the manual and found this, how it used to work, i'll give them a call tomorrow and see what they say. I have to say... lexus is disappointing me.. I brought up a couple issues and they just blew me off instead of trying to fix them. My inner wheel well coating is also peeling at 5k which is crappy. Their response is that I ran over some white paint and I showed him that a slight finger brush removes the rubber coating and its clearly not paint. Flabbergasted at the amount of bs and lying there is at lexus. Other dealerships its expected but I guess lexus is no better...

Reading the manual language you provided you left out the most important user variable in your description of the problem - whether or not S-Flow is on or off when the seat stays on? From my understanding of the manual language if S-flow is on then the seats should be off when in auto mode and no one is detected in the seat and if S-flow is off then in auto mode the seat will stay on even when someone is not detected in the seat.
Now I believe the 2019's do not have a dedicated S-Flow button/mode anymore so this maybe a setting buried deep in the settings....I'm not sure. I believe S-Flow is now automatic and certain things like opening certain doors now triggers it - example - the rear A/C does not come on unless the rear door is opened. I have not read the manual on this though so I'm no expert.

Hi! Thank you so much for you reply and yes you are correct! S-flow is in the infotainment system in climate and then on the top right of the screen inside the climate menu! I should have mentioned that S-Flow is on so it should just send air to me unless it detects another person in the car, front or rear! If you have eco selected in the climate screen it should automatically switch on s-flow as well. When s flow is active and there is no one in the car on the controls for the passenger climate control degree display should also be off.
My issue is that s-flow is on and in the auto position it should detect that im the only one in the car but it heats/cools the entire car which is ineffective as the fans are pretty weak and on 100 degree days baking away in the sun it feels like it takes forever to get to the entire car to a comfortable temperature when i would rather have all the cooling.
With s-flow activated you can overide it by pushing the heat or cool buttons to their own specific 1,2,3 setting but when left in auto it should only cool or heat when there is another passenger. But my car decides to heat and cool the entire car regardless and to note the passenger temperature displaying when it should be off. Maybe im just being sensitive or maybe its the no window tint in the front along with long afternoon drives combined with stop and go traffic and the sun 😭 it used to work and now i miss it 😭😭
When I get in my car, if it's hot or cold, I turn on seat heaters/coolers and when I'm done, I turn them off. Otherwise, it sounds like you're trying to operate a nuclear power plant.

Mine sounds like a jet engine about to take off when it's hot out and I turn on my ventilated seats. Often I wonder if I'm driving or flying.
You might try letting it reset to Automatic S-Flow. Simply turn off S-Flow (Climate Screen/S-Flow icon/uncheck or leave blank the dot) then turn off the car for over one hour. I have reset mine a few times that way (overnight) after I had manually turned it off. It's a few pages beyond the ones you posted. After the reset I just get left side temp display and seat fans if I am alone, and the right side works with a passenger or responds to rear occupants.
