Default Cracked Triple Beam Headlight

Got into fender bender. Cracked the plastic casing on the triple beam LED headlight. Also fender bumper needs to be remounted.

I looked up the cost of a brand new triple beam headlight assembly, it's close to $3k. Only the plastic casing is cracked. I'm guessing the lexus service center will want to replace the entire thing. Hoping there are other less expensive options. Please suggest. Even used assemblies go for $600-$900. Ugh, everything else is pristine except for the plastic casing.

Unfortunately as I mentioned in the other thread, freak accident. Both parties agreed to pay their own costs.

On a previous Rx350, a person backed into my rear bumper and caused a small hole in the plastic. That person did not stay around and left the scene without identifying themselves. My insurance covered the repair less the deductible which I paid. My point is that your insurance company might fix the damage minus your deductible? Might be worth checking it out with them. Alternatively, it may affect your insurance rate if reported?

That's what insurance is there for. Bumper & light assembly will be close to $4000. damage.

Thanks RGSW and everyone else that suggested the insurance.

I've initiated a claim with Geico. I have collision insurance which I haven't ever used so wasn't sure how it worked. $500 deductible but gladly paid since the final bill looks like it will be substantial. I'll update as to how it turns out. Currently feeling a sense of relief but still not done yet...

Good luck man I know it sucks but that’s what we pay insurance for, good thing you have a low deductible. I’ll put in my quess at $6,800 for the total repair cost.

Thanks ellocovg. Geezus, a 3rd party repair shop and someone who has to pay out of pocket would prob do it for a lot less. For dealership, the real money is in service repair.

Where can you buy the triple beam online ? All i see is used ones on Ebay for around 1000k used. Seems like a deal too good to be true or what ?

It's not plug and play and far from a simple swap install unfortunately. There are numerous modules and wiring required and I believe some programming as well. I think someone else tried it here but failed and gave up. I have to look that thread up but moral of story is it can be done but the cost will exceed over $4-5k from what I understand to make them operable.
