AGM Battery?
I'm under the impression that the OEM are no longer Panasonic. They were for many years but that changed here in the USA. I gathered this from the many posts here about batteries. To be helpful to the OP, I'm using Interstate for 15 years now (not the same battery). Costco sells them at a great price.
I just replaced OEM with X2Power Premium AGM Battery Group 24F. I have been using X2Power Batteries on all my vehicles, and never had any problem yet. It's a bit expensive, but I think it's worth it. It come with 60 months free replacement, 2 batteries in 1: starting and deep cycle, 840 CCA. I have 2ch dash cam with parking mode so deep cycle really helps.
But I only got a 48-month warranty.
This is an apples to pork chops comparison. Hybrid cars have 2 battery systems. They are separate and have different functions. Do a google search and correct me if I am wrong.
From factory, the RX has regular flooded lead acid battery.
It is the new RX and the newer generation Highlander got the start and stop feature. I digress.
I dont think it is ideal to spend extra money for an AGM in the gas variant RX.

Show me in writing somewhere where it says Panasonic made batteries for cars. I have researched car batteries ad nauseaum and never saw a "Panasonic" battery for a car.
Oooops have to be careful here. I was only referring to 12 V batteries. Hybrids and EV's do use Panasonic batteries mostly in Tesla's.

I think he means Panasonic made the 12V battery. Just because there is no big Panasonic sticker, does not mean they didn't manufacture it.
I thought this forum thread was for "4th generation" Lexus autos. I know nothing about what they did 15 or 20 or 30 years ago. If you bought a Toyota or Lexus that was manufactured in Japan there is a good chance you did get a Panasonic battery. Here in North America you will get one made by either Enersys, Exide Technologies, Eastpenn or Clarios.

I don't question that possibility but how do you know that daddio and where did they go in North America? Do you have some insider information you could share with all of us? Please be specific if you can. ( Notice I did say Please")
