The perfect RX?
Have a 2017 RX Luxury with every possible option, and have been test driving RXL and RXL hybrid for wife’s daily driver. Have to say that the CVT on the hybrid is so much nicer that the 9 speed on the non-hybrid.
Dare I say that a perfect RX would the L version with rear heated captains chairs with Luxury pkg and CVT transmission? Just wish Lexus would have created a true 3 row crossover with an extended wheel base as the 3rd row is a joke, but the second row leg room on the RXL is perfect, especially with captains chairs. Oh Lexus, when will you listen to the consumer?

I have a 2018 450hl and it is great. People with no legs are perfect for the 3rd row! I replaced a Sienna with it and got the L for a little more room for hauling cargo. I have a cargo liner that exactly fits the whole back area when the 3rd row is down. Never had any plans to put people back there. My wife has a Rav hybrid and both of our vehicles are smooth driving machines. I never will go back to a non-hybrid. I did not buy the vehicles for the gas mileage, but rather for the mechanical benefits and the total simplicity of a hybrid drive. The gas mileage is just a bonus.

Thank you I agree. To be honest 3 generation of RX. 2004 RX, 2010 RX and 2016 RX. The RX is a great car, but with an expanding family we needed more room. The RX L third row is unusable. Also to make it even worse the third row can only seem to be found with captain chairs! I would have considered RXL if my local dealer had the Luxury Package, Pano Camera,.. fully loaded model with a 7 seats. Ended up with a XC90. I wonder how this Volvo will last...
(Sorry, don't mean to offend anyone on the 6 vs 7 seats. I know some people want the captain chairs, but for our family we want 7 seats. It is hard to pay $60k for 6 seater. I am surprised most dealers don't stock 7 seater)

Pity you haven't had that sorted. Mine's an 350 F-Sport and although there's the occasional hesitation it's mostly smooth as silk. If driving in more demanding traffic I just through it into Sport mode and it's really good.
no worries switching teams, enjoy your vehicle,
