Hi,

I am planning to buy 2018 Rx350, however i cant decide between standard package and navigation package, Lexus Canada website does not give a complete breakdown on whats added in navigation package over standard one. I reached out to a lexus dealer and they couldn't give me complete information.

If someone can give me an idea on whats extra in navigation package (apart from navigation and dvd player) over standard, that would be very helpful. I am in Canada, reason I mention that is because I have been told by the dealership sales rep that some features are different in rx350 sold in US vs Canada.

I can't imagine there being any other changes for the $1,300 difference between the base RX and navi package. It's going to be the same 8" display; but the head unit will be different to support the DVD player and SD card slot (for navigation updates). Plus the back end electronics to support the navigation unit. Sounds about what Lexus would charge for this upgrade.

 

The Canadian model is available with Qi charging.

 

Qi charging is only available on the F-Sport 3 or Executive Packages in Canada. Both are around $13,000 more than the base RX OP was asking about unfortunately. We can't select individual features to add unlike down in the States...

 

I don't believe there is anything in the navigation package except the GPS and DVD. It's a relatively poor GPS and doesn't seem to contain many points of interest in Canada. I wouldn't have gone for it if I had chosen the base package.
