Default Cornering light?

What is the feature that lights the path when making a turn?

I'm not aware Lexus has turning lights, but I could be wrong.

Must have Bi-LED Headlamps with Adaptive Front Lighting System in order to get adaptive headlights. Base headlights and Triple Beam LED lights do not turn.

From the manual:

Cornering lights (if equipped)

● When the steering wheel or turn signal lever is operated while the headlights are on (low beam), a cornering light will turn on and light up the direction of movement of the vehicle. The cornering lights are designed to ensure excellent visibility when making a turn at an intersection. However, when vehicle speed is approximately 22 mph (35 km/h) or higher, the cornering lights will not turn on.

● When the shift lever is in R while the headlights are on (low beam), both cornering lights will turn on. This is designed to enhance visibility when parking.

Thank goodness I don't have those - imagine the cost when they need repair.

My wife loves them and they do make a difference when turning in tighter areas at night.

I believe they are covered under the warranty. I live where there are no street lights, really cool feature.

It's just one of the many electronic gizmos built into the car. There are no moving parts involved since the bulbs and housing are all static. Just likely some switches. The chances of anything failing with this part is miniscule compared to the rest of the car. I would be more worried if it was one of those auto-tilt and swivel headlights a lot of the Germans are putting into their cars these days.

They're just lights that turn on/off, no moving parts.

Different from some that I've seen actually move. Everything is covered by the warranty until it expires. I guess you don't care if you lease which I don't.

But there is still a corner lamp that lights up when turning with the Triple Beam LEDs

I'm sure it's cheap compared to other parts.

I have them. Like them a lot.
