seems like the only real difference is the change to the enform subscriptions, which is pretty lame that it won't be retroactive.

About 1% of the article was about what's new and the rest was just a rehash of the 4th gen RX features. A few sentences would suffice to clearly detail the changes from 2017 to 2018. Based on that I just bought the 2017 RX-450H. All I would want out of Enform is the remote start which works for one year and is then disable even with the key FOB! That's not being offered for 10 years and always forces me to get an aftermarket remote start for about the cost of a year of the Enform Remote.

Last time I checked, Lexus Enform Remote Start feature was an App that you could activate free for one year after purchase of a new car. After that, the Remote Start feature was renewable only with one of the offered Enform services. No Enform subscription, then no Remote Start either. As I understand it, you could not purchase Remote Start separately thru Enform. I felt it was just another way for Enform to make another extra $50 a year off the customer. I wonder about the connection between Enform and Sirius/Xm as when I called enform I was given an e-mail address @ Sirius/Xm.???

So, WTF?! Enform for 10 years complimentary and I assume that means remote start and key fob start that currently required Enform to work? So I am in my complimentary one year and they have my credit card for subsequent renewal. Am I gonna have to pay yearly now just for my DAMN FOB TO START MY CAR!!! C'MON LEXUS!!! You are not going to hear an end to this crap!!

Not an add on unless you he meant to add an Enform subscription. You do it by pressing lock three times and hold on the third or maybe fourth and wait about 8 seconds. The car will start. If you don't have an active Enform subscription, you're SOL. It won't work. Why? Lexus is ridiculous!!!

I just tried mine, and it worked. Hold down on the 4th push of the lock button.

Active as far as I know - I can remote start from the phone, locate the car etc - just can't remote start with the FOB.
