I have attached the spreadsheet that I use. Used similar for my Acura TL that is currently at 304,500 miles. I find this easier than looking through the service manual and I record date and mileage for everything I do.
If you like, download and modify.
BTW I set up for mileage only since (in a normal year unlike this) I drive about 26,000 miles, so miles always come before time.

Ok I see what's happening now, on Lexus.ca when I select Vehicle Age based maintenance, brake fluid replacement comes up at 24 months interval. Switching to mileage based maintenance puts it at every 3 years or 48k kilometers (30k miles). Thanks for the advice folks, much appreciated

My wife and I tend to keep our cars for 10+ years. She puts about 20,000 per year and I do about 26,000 miles per year, so leasing does not work well for us. A few years back I got sick of dealerships service so started doing these spreadsheets to make working on my own cars easier to keep track of what was done when. Nice thing about Lexus is the spreadsheet will be pretty blank for the first couple of year....just the usual oil changes, tire rotations, and hopefully not much else.

Like Cocal said, double check b/c I think brake fluid is 3 years not two, but either way.

Thank you this is very helpful & a great idea. Question...the info you have on lines 4-7 is only regarding your vehicle? Since I'm not a mechanic does this info only pertain to your vehicle or is it the same for mine ie part #'s etc? I have a 2020 RX FSport. Not sure if I have to get this information from my manual. Thanks! Don' mean to waster anyone's time with stupid questions.

I also sometimes use RockAuto for parts when working on my cars....esp as they age and I look to use less expensive alternative parts.
In addition I purchased at 2 day subscription to TIS to download the service guides for particular jobs and got part numbers and Torque specs from that site. Even with all of this information I would confirm the part numbers myself before I start a job.
I find that this makes keeping service schedule clear and creates a nice list/overview of what was done when.

I have 3 cars and now my RX only sees like 5k miles a year. So at that rate I am on an oil change every 2 yrs.
My father also is in the same camp and I just do his oil changes once a year for him.
I will do my RX this weekend and I have only put 4K on it since 5/11/19.

Services should be done when distances are reached OR time ie: every 6 months.

newbie confused about service schedule
I'm a total newbie and I'd really appreciate your help.
I got my 2019 RX serviced at 18 months (only 11k miles) in July 2020. After the service I did a long road trip and hit 16k miles. At this point the car started alerting about calling the dealer to schedule maintenance. I contacted the dealer and they want me to bring the car in for another service (the reason being I covered 5k miles after my previous service).
Is that how service schedule work or is the dealer taking me for a ride? I would have assumed after my 18 months service, the next service due would be only at 24 months or 20k miles.

If you had the oil changed at 11,000 miles, there is nothing critical that is needed till your next oil change at 20,000. If you look at your maintenance manual, the items that they list at 15,000 miles are just checking fluid levels and rotating the tires. Personally, I wouldn't give them a nickel for that.
I change my oil myself every 10,000 miles and reset the cars reminder system. Occasionally I rotate my tires but I honestly don't think that frequent tire rotations have ever really gained me any significant extra tire life so I don't do it very often anymore. I do keep close track of the other essential maintenance items like air filter changes, brakes, etc. and do these all at the correct time. I do not jump through all the hoops in the Lexus rip off maintenance book and I have never had any issues with warranty service as long as I keep good records on all my home oil changes, etc..
