Just picked up my 2017 RX and notice the sensitive gas pedal/hesitation issue in ECO setting. I don't consider it a serious problem and do not want the dealer fiddling with it.

This jumpiness/lurching is a symptom of the stupid transmission hesitation and poor programming. It gets confused when trying to upshift then downshift which can result in an insane bucking of the car. Trust me, you get wtf looks from everyone. Check the hesitation thread for others experiencing this.

Most cars seem to be adversely affected by the ECO setting. Try Sport mode. If you need ECO, maybe get a Prius

speaking of gas pedals, does anyone else's make a 'SPROING' sound when letting off quickly at low speeds, like in stop & go traffic?

yup posted in the forums a few times. Happens on 2016 and 2017s I've driven. Easy to reproduce. Poor attention to details.

Yep Mine does it to. I have checked several at the dealer and they all did it, even the 17's. Guess it is another quirk of this car.

thats too bad! certainly seems cheapo. I inspected the pedal and it doesn't look like there is any easy way to remedy the problem either.
