can you get it to show you the gear it's in while driving, instead of just displaying letter drive modes?

 

Move the gear shift to the left once in drive. You can do this at any speed. However once you come to a stop, you have to use the paddle shifters to change gears. Don't quote me on this as I only played with it and didn't really test how it works. I used it once just to see what gear I was cruising in....30 mph and it's in 7th...seems kind of low to me. In manual mode the gear pops up instead of "D"

Some people are using the paddle shifters to keep the revs up and limiting the vibration and drone.

 

In fact I think that once you move it in manual (gear shift to the left) it actually changes the gear by one up most of the time (the rev going up can be heard).

 

Yea I think you're right. When I did it, it just revved up pretty high before shifting...
