For long trips I still use my old garmin that warns me of traffic ahead or even calculates alternative routes using that info.

I get traffic data in my Lexus and the navigation often prompts me if I want to reroute around traffic so this feature seems to exist.
It may not be as nimble and smart as my Garmin but routing logic seems to take traffic data into account.

NOT in Canada!!!!!!! We pay for it, but do not get the traffic/weather info or the Phone integration that USA gets.
Does this happen to you? While driving lets say a 10 mile route, traffic lady says heavy traffic 12 miles ahead on your route.

Yes, it occurs in all Lexus vehicles, the model has nothing to do with it. And often the information doesn't really apply to your route, sometimes it does.
