Default Manuals

Hi Folks, need your help. 2017 RX 350
  1. Have been looking in the Owner's & Maintenance Manual re: Oil & Oil change interval and was only able to find the oil type, but not the interval
  2. Have been looking for the ATF type & specs (ie Dextron etc) again nothing in either manual, I know it has to be WS compatible, but I need a bit more than that.
Do any of you know where in either manual I can find these specs?

Thanks
Cocal

Look for the Warranty and Service Guide supplement. Maintenance begins on page 39. Basically, unless you drive under extreme conditions as specified in the supplement, you need replace the engine oil and oil filter every 12 months or 10,000 miles, whichever occurs first, and use a quality, full synthetic 0W20 oil.

There are other items recommended in the service section of this manual supplement.

The manual is not clearly written so as to make you think you need to do this every 5,000 miles or 6 months but if you read it carefully you will be able to see that it is written to encourage service income for the dealership.

If you have questions about what is actually required by Lexus, discuss the service requirements (not the dealership recommendations) with your service advisor at your Lexus dealer.

Thanks Jim, I looked at p39 but could not find it, perhaps there are differences between US & Can manuals. I did find the answer eventually, but now I am drawing a blank on the Power Steering Fluid, nowhere in the manuals could I find the type or specs.
