Hi everyone,

I just picked up my RX yesterday. I pre-ordered some LEDs for the trunk and door courtesy lights. I noticed that after installing them, the dome lights don't seem to match! Are your dome lights LED? This might be limited to the base model in Japan, but I'm pretty sure that mine need to be changed. Also, if anyone has any idea on how to get the covers off the dome lights and what size the bulbs are, it would be much appreciated if you could let me know.

 

I have the f sport. Surprised to find out the all my lights except the rear reverse lights are LED's. Also the trunk cargo lights were not led's. I just changed those and was good to go.

 

Are the dome lights yellowish? I'm not sure if they're actually led or not. Perhaps they've just got low color temperature?

 

Mine have that pure white look on the dome lights and the door led lights. zero yellow, halogen look

 

yup the F sport has LED dome lights, i got them

 

Must be a non-f sport or Japanese model problem then. I found out they are indeed LED but 4000k.

Non-f sport...dome lights are extremely dim. I hope they aren't LED.

 

Interior lighting is terrible!
Could we rewire to make reading lights come on with door?

Does anyone know if there are OEM LED lights/bulbs available for the side doors, tailgate, etc.? Does the F-Sports or luxury package come with these?

 

So, it looks like F-Sport has LED door courtesy lights. Why then the bulb part number listed on mylparts.com is the same for the base and F-Sport? Base definitely has an incandescent bulb. Anyone knows whether I can get those OEM F-Sport LED bulbs and install them on the base RX 450h? What is the part number?

 

Most likely, the LED door courtesy light is the entire enclosure, which should be a lot more expensive than getting an LED replacement for the incandescent bulb.

 

Yes, you have to get an entire bulb/socket LED assembly but given the fact that people says it's still has yellowish color and costs almost $30, I went ahead with aftermarket LED bulb replacement and so far it works and looks great.

 

Can the interior light be changed to led's. I changed the cargo area lights.

 

I changed the vanity mirror lights to LED.
