2017 RX Best Prices So Far?
The current advertised rebate for the New York area and most of the rest of the country for the RX is $1500 according to the Lexus website.

Incentives can vary by region, but, recently, they seem to have been pretty much the same throughout the country.

If you read the details of the $3500 incentive on the Edmunds' site, it appears that the $3500 results from combining the current $1500 cash rebate with other incentives that only some who buy or lease may qualify for, but the $1500 cash incentive is the minimum incentive available to all.

My interpretation is that the $3500 combines the $1500 available to all buyers with other incentives that some buyers might qualify for, including the recent college grad rebate, the military rebate, special lease terms etc. If that interpretation is correct, some buyers should qualify for more than the basic $1500 incentive, but not many are likely to qualify for the full $3500 of combined incentives.
I also note that, for the ES, the total of combined potential incentives is up to $6000 because, I'm sure, sedans are not selling well at all. On the ES board here, there are reports of people buying an ES for around 20% off of MSRP, and I suspect that the discounting will get even bigger as we move through the late summer and into the fall.

10% off sounds good to me. You never know if it's the bottom price the dealer will take. But as supply/choice gets less and less at least you get the car/color you want. Whether they would have taken 300 more off, in the big picture...does it really matter if you got the car you want. Great choice on the 450H F sport. That's my next one. Congrats.

So this means that 2018 will be here in couple of months.
You should go for 15% off rather than 10%.
Don't rely on just one dealership. Email as many you can get to, even a couple that are out of reach just to get the numbers.
Good Luck.
Thank You.

wow 15% seems over the top but I guess nothing to lose by trying.
not surprised. Much higher seems unlikely to me other than perhaps a high volume dealer. I'm going to start around 10% and see where that goes. I also have a trade which will make matters more convoluted.
I'm getting dealers quoting 10-13% off MSRP here in So Cal. Not in a rush but going to purchase this year and still on the fence if I should just wait for a 2018 and risk lower incentives/discounts or a 2017 that will already be a year old but lower priced. I'm sure dealers will really try to move inventory in Aug/Sep but you'll also risk decreased selection. I'm thinking of just purchasing a 2018 during December to Remember which I think starts in Nov.

I am from Seattle and went to SF Bay area to get 17' RX AWD lease, and I am very happy! Seattle dealers were not willing to negotiate and I was surprised that dealers in Seattle are requiring purchase of aftermarket stuff like window tinting, protrim and lojack. I was able to get these Seattle dealers to give me 4k off 50k vehicle, but they added on 1k on top with all these aftermarket stuff. Why would you need lojack when all these lexuses come with vehicle locator? So I looked elsewhere, I went down to SF Bay and leased one. Even if you pay for shipping to another state, it's still a better deal to get it from CA dealers.
I contacted 8 bay area dealers. Putnam (David Jenner) and Serramonte (Vy Le) stood out. Both were great at communicating, not pushy, very understanding. Serramonte Lexus had the vehicle I wanted. Vy was really easy to work with and I got the price and the vehicle I wanted. vy.le@lexusofserramonte.com

difference Sale person said lowest price is $46,300. I asked 14% off MSRP. and show him this forum. He said on line "you can't find real sonic price" and he let me walked out. I already told him I don't like the game sale man used to play. When I got home he email me he said will talk to the manager next day I said no thanks and emailed Vy Le. The price is
MSRP $50,329 +tax + fees
DC $ 6007
cash rebate $1,500 (after tax in CA)
sell price ~$ 42,950
14.66% off msrp not great as your but save time and no hassle I Took it. I'll pick up the car tomorrow hope to see the sale man and tell him sonic price is real. Vy is nice young man. He don't talk like sale person He made less money per car but sell more cars good thinking
