It can be done for free at your 5K service at the Lexus dealer. I had them change mine.

Hi. Thanks for the tip.

Just got back from the dealer for a body side molding install and on the side, dealer changed the auto turn signals from 3 to 5 blinks for free.

regards

I would think that it could be done on any RX.
Programmable by dealer only.

35. Lane Change Signal Flashes
Push the turn signal lever partway to signal a lane change. It will flash:
□ Off
□ 3 times (Standard) □ 4 times
□ 5 times
□ 6 times
□ 7 times

This above will not work on a current RX. Either a dealer of Carista with doggle needed to change

I didn't know that, I never asked the dealer to change it. I have a '17 and it's listed in my manual as #35.

Question of the day, why 5, 7, etc blinks? 3 is not enough to change a lane on a highway?

I do not think it matter what package you have. The dealer still has to change it from 3 to 5 blinks or buy and use Carista

Where I am at you are lucky to get a single blink, much less 3 or 5 but I prefer the 5 blinks

Anyone knows if there is a option to change the number of times turn signal blinks in "soft" press turn like on the LX?

thanks for the info. question, if the Carista is plugged in and accessed through an IOS app on your iphone... what the the purpose of the OBII cable? does the Carista not plug into the car's OBII port?

Most of the negative reviews are from people who either didn't know their vehicle wasn't supported, or didn't realize you had to also buy the $20 pro app in addition to the hardware. So $40 for the adapter and $20 for the app will allow you to change anything you want that the dealer would want to charge you for himself.

Our 15 RX 450h could be done in the menu setting by us. Our 17 can only be done at the dealer. Defaults to three blinks which is way to short. Had ours changed to five.
