Based on several people here it's a common flaw. Make sure you let lexus know. Hopefully they address it through a redesign and fix.

Yes, it's the sound of the motor and fan. Totally normal with ventilated seats.

Mine is loud too. I never noticed any noise with that in my 2009 LS460

My vent fan inside my seat behind my head has something in the way of the blades and at any speed it make a racket that is hard to believe is normal. I was not going to tell the dealer as I did not want to have the seat torn apart but relive that they can remove the rear plastic cover to access the fan.

My past Lexus vented seats only had a fan under the seat and not inside the seat behind my head.

The only way for Lexus to fix the issue is for them to know about the problem. If we don't report problems to dealers, then there won't be any fix. They go by warranty claims and analyze repeat items.

I know this and there is no way that I would not mention it to my dealer. But I also do not want my seat torn apart and have more to complain about. BUT, it looks like the can access this fan from the back of the seat and if so I will have it fixed.

Does not matter too much to me as I am in the middle of trading my 4RX in on a new LX

Trading in the 4RX? It hasn't even been out a year

Is it just the ventilation fan or something else? I am very curious because you were defending the 4RX a couple months ago in another thread.

PS: Could you still be "RXOwner" if you had a LX?

I had a 2016 LX on order and was 24 hours from picking it up and someone backed into it at the dealer and I killed the deal. I went for the 4Rx instead, my 3rd RX.

I do not keep vehicles long. I traded an 2015 LX in when I got this RX and suffered a horrible tax penalty so my CPA told me if I did not want to give the IRS even more next year that I better get back into a Section 179 before the year is out.

I love the RX and will still defend it as a great vehicle.

Thanks for your .02 cents but I do as I wish with my money and only have to rationalize it to me and the CPA, I am afraid you do not even come close to counting.

It does figure that you would have an opinion.
