Rear passenger vents not working

Just stating the obvious...perhaps if you live in a cooler climate and maybe single driving around but in Nevada it's not a for a family of 4 with adequate cooling. Basically a fancy Rav 4....a bunch of wasted features and a distracting screen with a mouse type feature.

sounds like your best option is to part ways with it,
i would ask how you got this far into the purchase and ownership, but ...............

Simple button. I have looked for a solution for a year now which Lexus genius decided to make this as a default and not turn it off when it detects somebody in the back.

The sad thing is that for a luxury vehicle there are no rear occupant HVAC controls other than if you heated rear seats with power reclining, whereby you can at least heat the seats. Other than that you get the standard console vent louver open and close. A huge oversight on a luxury vehicle nowadays. At the very least they could have also supplied a similar control button that is on the dash on the rear console.
