Just curious if anyone has tuned a 3rd Gen RX350. I assume it's too early for the 4th Gen. I am leaning toward getting another RX but like the performance of some of the competition. The 0-60 time reported is slower than my 2010 in spite of more gears and more HP. Even if the factory number is conservative the MDX ( with comparable engine, one more gear) breaks 6 seconds.
I know about the warranty issue and am not looking for a dragster, but there are times passing that it's safer to get around a car as fast as possible.
Black Bear does a great job with GM trucks. Is there a comparable firm that builds a tune for the Lexus. Not interested in the funky chips!
I won't pretend that I am an expert in this, but I will say a couple things that are hopefully correct. My impression of Toyota/Lexus was that the ECU is not particularly open to tuning, which really limits the ease by which you can increase performance. The naturally aspirated engine would limit the potential gain anyway. Is there a tune out there for any generation RX? In a quick google search not much came up, so if that's the case it doesn't bode particularly well for the 4RX to get one.
Also increasing the number of gears doesn't guarantee that the way those gears are designed will benefit 0-60 performance.

All jkes aside, your not gonna find much on an RX since AM does not really consider the RX a platform that instill confidence. Best you can do is find a piggyback tune that fools the ECU, as the toyota ecu platform is like a steel vault.
Performance CUVs exist, why not check one of those out. XC90 T8 (not dynamic but a green sport). X5, Cayenne, Q7 are the only ones worth mentioning that optioned correctly will be absolute beasts. Blunt beasts would AMG or SRT. Precise would anything M (not m sport) or GTS.
