Default Knee Airbag Recall

Anybody had the kneel airbag replaced from the recall? It was announced a while back but I haven't heard anything from the dealer or get any mail. I checked mine was manufactured in Nov. last year and it was affected by this recall.

It could be months before they start calling them in for replacement.

How did you find out that yours was affected?

I registered my RX 350 at Lexsus Driver (secure.drivers.lexus.com/lexusdrivers/my-lexus/home.do) and next to the VIN there is a link "Safety Recalls & Service Campaigns". It shows what recall is linked to my car. Here you can also find all the service record for the car at the dealership even before I picked up the car.

I'm registered with Lexus Drivers too. I never thought of looking there. My bad.

Just had it replaced this week. Dealer notified me while I had it in getting the hitch installed. Took about 3 weeks to get the parts in and about 45 min for the fix.

I got it done when I was in for a winter tire swap. They actually had the part available and got it ready the next day.
