My average over the last 16,000 km (10,000) miles is 10.7L/100km or 21.9 MPG. My drive is 60 % highway, 40% city.

Mostly in eco, sometimes in Sport+. With occasional tap on its power.

Can't complain to much. My 4 cylinder Venza AWD averages 10 L/100km or 23.5 and it is really gutless compared to this car.

I fee like Lexus lied on 2016 RX's MPG claims.

Recently took a drive from LA to SD on 2016 RX w/ 9K miles. With some traffic, we averaged 23MPG. Not even close to the highway claim of 28.
I thought the MPG would increase with the mileage, but that's not the case.

Lexus' claim of 20/28 was one of the main points of buying the car (long commutes). This is significant overstatement from actual world results.

For reference, we also have a 2009 RX350, rated 18/23 and I consistently get 23MPG (mostly freeway commuting with traffic).

My 2017 RX350 has 800 miles on the odometer and is on 3rd tank of regular 87 gas. Overall mileage is 23.9 with mostly city driving with LOTS of stop lights/signs. My previous 2010 Lexus never got to 21 MPG. The new car is larger, has more power, smoother transmission and better mileage. I am very pleased.

nas2344, the cold weather and winter blend gas doesn't help mileage. I say give it more time.

What is your average MPH?
MPG number are irrelevant without MPH.

Here are example of the cars that I've used for my commute and they are all look horrible, but it is not the car it is commute.
4 cylinder Toyota Camry / I could get 38 MPG on a freeway but for my specific commute it was
21 - 22 MPG
6 cylinder Acura TL / about 30-31 on a freeway but for my commute
16-18 MPG
6 cylinder Lexus RX for my commute
14-16 MPG

Shorter commutes with a lot of stop and go are the worst.

I do feel like my 2016 is getting 18 city / 24 hwy after they discreetly fixed my transmission acceleration hesitation issue (and I've been doing ECO mode as a test too).

You will need to reset while driving on freeway to get actual freeway MPG (press the diamond button). I was getting 26-27 MPG freeway only with ECO mode on. I am getting a consistent 17-18MPG in city normal driving on ECO mode. Regular gas.

Much depends on how one drives. If you for is heavy between lights you mileage will be less. If you are doing 80 on the highway . . .

You all must be doing something really good to be getting more than 20 MPG city driving. I tested my MPG for the city and via my car and doing it manually is registering 20.3 MPG doing it both ways. I went on a 5 hour trip and clearly forgot to do my MPG. Will do highway MPG next road trip.
