Yes, I too am interested. Is that an update the dealer can do here in Canada?

Unfortunately, Lexus disabled all over the air updates for Canadian customers.

Since when? Since the screw up june last year where the infotainment system screen would turn purple before crashing and rebooting?

That time my dealer had to manually update it.

But I was under the impression that it was still going on. (I'm from Montreal, Quebec).

I not aware of Lexus Canada ever having over the air updates. In US the Enform and HD traffic and weather are updated, here they are disabled.

From Canada (Montreal) I got the following problem last year. It was due to an over-the-air update. I assumed it came from the satellite link.

At the time this happened I was not affected and was assured that this is isolated to usa since Canada does not get the over the air updates. Check with your dealer and let us know if you are receiving these updates that also updates your cruise control.

if i had gotten out to open it by pressing the button on the hatch.. i would noticed the height of the ceilings..
this is the epitome of what happened with my car. Literally cleared it by 1/8". You can change it in your setup in the car settings to open like 1-2" less ny setting it to height setting (5)

On some newer models of SUV, when the shift is on R, if the front windshield wiper is on, the rear window wiper will automatically turn on for several times. 4RX does not do that.

The Blind Spot Monitor indicator will not light if the vehicle is stationary.

You can lower the rear hatch to any height you like.

I've been watching all the review videos which have been coming out on the new 2018 LS. The LS has the same 12.3 inch nav display and yet the backup camera is entirely different than on my RX. Where RX shows ~40% rear view, ~30% surround view, ~30% whatever you had up on the screen last. The new LS shows ~60% rear view, ~40% surround view. This looks like a HUGE improvement! I can't believe they didn't do this sooner on the RX.

The vanity mirror light is controlled by the cover AND the position of the visor.

Is there a way to turn the GPS display screen off when not used. Look like it will be always on when the engine is on.

I’m not sure what you are asking. Did the Lexus Technology Specialist spend time showing you how everything works?

If you want to turn the GPS/screen off all the time press MENU, select Display. The option to turn off the screen will be displayed.
