By exclusions do you mean tires, wiper blades or brakes?

Of all the warranty repair I have had done. The only one denied was for a broken interior plastic trim piece.

Small print exclusions (water intrusion as an example is a common one) - I don't mean wear items.

The Sunroof drain is a big one. And is something that should be checked and cleaned during maintenance checks.

Yes, it's a common issue on the older gen RX. Not sure if it's also on the current 4th gen Lexus.

FWIW, I called Endurance and they don't cover my vehicle.

That's how you justify the extended warranty ...
Please share how much you paid for the warranty and what tier?
Is it tethered to only specific dealership/area or covers entire US.
PS Never bought extended warranty in my life.

I purchase the Extended warranty depending on the vehicle. I've owned 4 Lexus vehicles. 3 RX and 1 ISF. I didn't purchase an extended warranty on my Tundra. As the factory and powertrain warranty covered the car.

Except for the first RX each of the other vehicles has had significant repairs past the original factory warranty period.

I have documented the failures of these vehicles on this thread.

Extended Warranty (merged threads) - Page 15 - ClubLexus - Lexus Forum Discussion

My last Extended warranty purchase cost me 1200 dollars for 2 years of Platinum Warranty. Which comes out to 1.64 a day. That was on my 2012 ISF. It had numerous small repairs after the original warranty expired.

But it also had a failure of the Air Conditioning system. That Lexus was unable to repair after 3 visits. They ended up keeping the vehicle almost a month. Completely removed the dash and replaced every air control valve in the vehicle. A repair that cost around 8.000 dollars. My only cost was for the gas in the loaner vehicle.

But like I have said numerous times. I sleep better knowing I just need to make a phone call anytime my vehicle has a issue. I make an appointment and drop the keys on the customer service desk. Drive away in a loaner till they call and say the vehicle is ready.

I plan on purchasing the new NX450+ in the next few months. With all of the issues the RAV4 Prime has had. If I plan on keeping the NX. I will be buying the Warranty again.

Call around to various dealerships. And see what they quote you. I purchased my last two warranties from Jerry.

I just put a deposit down on a 2022 with nav for msrp at 54,505. I am in NY area. Most of the dealerships in my area are not charging over MSRP.
Question-Anyone get the extended maintenance plan and if so what discount did you get it at? Where there any other add ons you got in the finance office?

I am purchasing a 2022 RX which should arrive next week at the dealership. Has anyone looked into the Geico MBI insurance? It is similar to the bumper to bumper warranty and goes to 7/100k with a $250 deductible. Anyone have any luck or problems using it? I am thinking of using that instead of purchasing a Lexus warranty.
Also, does anyone have a link of how much the extended warranties and maintenance plans are and what the mark ups are? I am coming from a BMW X3 and this is my first Lexus. I am excited to see how this goes...

Not maintenance but extended warranty prices below is what I was quoted (November 2021 on a 2022 RX) I figured with all the electronics and rising inflation that is better to go ahead and lock in the warranty 7 years 125k miles for the platinum $0 deductible

7/125. $2305
6/100. $1385
7/100. $1800

That is super low for my area. I would love to purchase it through your dealership. the dealerships in my area are charging from $3-5k. Have you heard of Geico's MBI? It is similar to bumper to bumper warranty and coverage is 7/100k miles with a $250 deductible each time you bring itinerary for an issue.

I definitely wanted to stay with a Lexus warranty rather than a third party.
I actually got the quote from an out of state dealer found on this forum and had my dealership match the price. If they did not match I would have just purchased the warranty from the other dealer. Since it is a Lexus warranty you can really get it from any dealership.

I have only purchased the Lexus warranty. You would need to do research on any 3rd party warranty.

As far as markup goes. You need to get the warranty and see what they offer. And see what they charge. My last platinum Lexus warranty for my RX350 was 1200 dollars. Zero deductible for 2 years.

Does anyone know if you have to purchase the extended warranty or the extended maintenance the same day you pick up your car OR can you purchase both of these at any time before the warranty or maintenance expires? My 2022 RX 350 arrives next week. I just want to be prepared before going into the finance office.
