In my opinion the 2016 is not selling as well as expected, so dealerships will deal.

The hot suv is the 2015, because it is better looking and cheaper to own and when they realized it they became firmer on price.

If you can wait the prices will fall and if gas goes up it will drop further.

Supply and demand rules.

Have you seen many 2016's on the road?

My mistake---this figure is for RX350's and does not differentiate between 2015 and 2016. Mea culpa.

One thing I did notice also, that I could have gotten even greater discount if I had chosen a lower MSRP car, the F-sport for example was generally selling for closer to MSRP, some dealers are sitting on many $49K to $54K MSPR cars, but many of the current customers want more options.

Well, Lexus does give credit to the 2016 RX for bolstering record sales in Jan 2016:

“The appetite for crossovers and SUVs in the luxury market has continued to drive customers to Lexus,” commented Jeff Bracken, Lexus group vice president and general manager. “In January, our new vehicle sales were propelled by the all-new RX crossover and the NX, which continue to exceed sales forecasts.”

I helped add to their numbers by one. I just purchased & picked up a 2016 RX on Sat.

This is off the lot/truck Still had plastic on and only 4 miles on it. It had most/all of my must have features. Would have like a head's up display but that mostly seems to be included w/ the Luxury Pkg.

Dealer Info (NorCal):

Faruq Mansoor
Internet Sales Manager
Office: (888)227-7741
Direct: (510)377-3437
Email: mmansoor@coliseumlexusofoakland.com

If you contact him, let him know Rajesh referred you . He has been extremely wonderful to work with, not pushy at all.
