Just thought it'd be cool to start a thread on details which cannot be seen in pictures. An example would be the way the turn signals light up. I think its a very cool looking feature and reminds me of Lamborghini's in particular:

I like it in the front but its a bit too "long" for the rear. However, this is a welcomed addition, glad they are using LEDs in the rear turn signals now. Long over due

 

It's stuff like this that really catches my attention. When I decided to trade in my 2008 Hyundai Santa Fe, one requirement for a new vehicle was that it had HID headlights. I really like the LED running lights on the RX and the LED turn signals on the new 2016 makes it even more cool.

 

I think there will be many more unseen details but I guess we'll have to test drive one to find them all

 

they are synchronized and exactly the same :-).

It would be weird if front and back blinked at different intervals.

Many other automakers have jumped out with good looking and functional lights. Lexus again is leading the way. I think when seen on the road, these are going to be the ones turning heads

 

I am not sure if my eyes are deceiving me but it seems like the rear has LED individual bulbs while the front are LED tubes, and the tubes are smoother. Also the actual length of the signal is shorter in the front so there is less distance for the LED to cover

 

I personally hate this trend. If every vehicle comes up with some unique attention getting lighting approach, it will just add fatigue and stress for other drivers. I sure wouldn't want to be sitting behind this new RX at a stop light watching this really distracting nonsense. In all fairness to the Lexus designers, I will wait until the RX is introduced an check it out for myself and see how it works on the road.

 

they are synchronized, they blink at the same time, synchronized, regardless of length of the pipe, they timed it so they are the same otherwise after few seconds they would be out of sync and blink differently.

 

I am not saying they are out of sync. I am saying that the front looks better because it is a shorter distance

 

These dynamic lights are actually safer as they cant be missed or interpreted wrong in your peripheral vision

 

Its kind of disheartening to see Lexus following a fad that began so long ago. This isn't exactly revolutionary.

 

I'm not a big fan of sequential turn signals. Reminds me of a movie marquee or a slot machine. I like a nice crisp flash.
