Brake Service
I have a 2022 RX350 with 46k km (28.5 k miles). Dealership has recommended replacing brake fluid and a four wheel brake service. I am thinking I don’t need to do these two services just yet but wanted to reach out to get some feedback. I ordered a brake fluid tester from Amazon and should receive it today.
Driving conditions are summer and winter.
What mileage would be suggested to do these services if not now? Thanks.

Brake Fluid is not a mileage or even a time dependent service. Use the brake fluid test strips to see if you need the service done. Some people will do it every 3 years just as a habit but if the fluid tests good, then you are good. I did mine at 79,000 miles which was over 5 years. And even then the fluid had only shown minimal water absorption. The bleeding procedure is pretty easy if you have the time and are so inclined.
As far as the other components such as rotors and pads, they should be done when the pads get down to 3 mm or less. This is measured or indicated when the wear indicators on your brake begin to squeal.... you will know.
Just for reference, I did my rear brakes (rotors and pads) @ 70,000 miles (which was 4 years+). My fronts are still in great shape (6mm+) at 82000 miles.
So neither of these services are mileage dependent. Replacement is "as needed". Everyone will have different needs based upon driving habits and environment, so mileage and time will vary.
If you are at all DIY then you can avoid the dealership upsells.
Check out the Car Care Nut on YouTube for tons of information about your Lexus service. Here is one video discussing brake fluid service. He is using the electronic tester, but in a later video he says that he has moved onto the test strips. Many good videos on this site.

As a general rule of thumb - replace brake fluid every 2-3 years dependent on driving and weather conditions; otherwise, it's a subjective matter.
What is 4 wheel brake service? Pads and rotors replacement?
