My TPMS won't initialize. I am getting the constant TPMS dash light. I tried initializing TPMS as per the manual. The first step fails, the light doesn't blink 3 times. A while back the dash warned me that the TPMS had failed and I should take it to the stealership. Any suggestions?

You may have a bad sensor. Have you had tire work done before this happened?

No, they are the tires that came on the used 2017 RX450H I bought. They are still good and I haven't done anything with them other than have the pressure checked at a tire place. No problems noted.

If the sensors are original to the car, they are now 8 years old. I believe your sensors have batteries in them. IMO, it's very likely one or more of the sensors are defective.
For all 4 of them to die at the same time seems unlikely. Possible, but unlikely. That the system wouldn't initialize hints that the control module has died.
The batteries are old and the TPMS sensors need to be replaced.
If one goes bad, you will get the dashes on the display for all wheels and the orange dashboard light.
The cold weather makes batteries weaker. They may actually start working again if it warms up, but it's time to replace.
I just had the same thing happen on my 2017 RX350.

Be careful. I'm told that Lexus/Toyota TPMS aftermarket sensors are very difficult to get to work with our cars and difficult to program.
I did go to the dealership for OEM, but Toyota quoted me over $1000, and Mavis Discount Tire by me told me only Autel would work for him and my car. $129 a sensor.
I got quoted at $1200 at Lexus dealer. Went to discount tire, told I can get part and they can install at $100 for 4. Bought 4 online at Lexus dealer for about $86 each。they take about 20 minutes to install.

Good to hear. Do you happen to have the part number for them?

I had the orange light on the dash for about a week. Took it to the Toyota dealership near me yesterday and they diagnosed a faulty rear passenger sensor. $89.90 to diagnose, $89.50 to replace and $38.50 for the part.
If you get good quality TPMS modules, there should be no compatibility or system issues.
I just put a set of winter snow tires & rims together and put Huf IntelliSens modules in the wheels. They were just a touch over $100 for 4. Used an Autel TPMS scanner to program them into my RX350 in about 5 minutes.
