I just lost my 2010 RX-350. I loved that car and it had really low milage (114,000) and new tires, but the oil line blew out and it ruined my engine in just a few miles. Sadly, there were no warning lights or clues until the engine overheated. It was going to cost more than the car was worth to repair the engine.

So, I replaced it with a 2022 RX-350, AWD, Sports edition, 3.5L V6 engine and Apple AirPlay !
It's all black, which is not my favorite, but it was available and I was without a car.

It has all the bells and whistles, and some minor drawbacks, too.
It was a leased car with 26K miles on it.

I was ready to buy a new car this time (it would be my first new car ever), but for the damned tariff situation.
This car is built in Canada.
I know that some are built in Japan, but I think they are all base models - they seemed to be lacking features.

I had to learn a lot of new acronyms and abbreviations for all the newer safety features.

The touch screen is new to me. I love it. I can see it with my polarized sunglasses, too.
I am not crazy about the tachometer display with a digital speed readout, but I can live with it.
I really don't care at all what the Tachometer say - it's about as important as the temperature gage, IMHO.
I would have preferred a heads-up display, but that wasn't on this model.

It is not a hybrid and the engine doesn't stop running at red lights - sorry, that makes me very uncomfortable.
I've been really happy with my 4 cylinder on the 2010. This V6 really doesn't feel any different, just a bit noisier.
I was kind of surprised to find the custom carpets were replaced with Lexus branded rubber mats, even in the back.
I didn't expect that. The cargo mat has raised ridges with keep things from sliding around - nice!

What I missed right away were real leather seats, my wood steering wheel (never gets very hot in the sun), and curb sensors that were more sensitive. I'm not a big fan of AWD or the 20" wheels, but I can deal with it.

The thing I loved immediately, though, was AirPlay. This car is the last model that did not support wireless AirPlay, but my salesman had me buy a $50 wireless USB hub, which did the trick. I absolutely love having my iPhone displayed instead of the default controls.

The 360 degree cameras are almost shocking - I have to get used to them.
I love the folding mirrors, too. (I hate guess what a replacement mirror would cost).

This model still has radio ***** and buttons for all the climate controls and a wireless charging station.
I did look at the next year models (5th Generation) and I honestly did not like the controls (or lack of them) or the display screen.

It has a long list of features, most of which were included with the "Premium Package".
Most of this is new to me, as I never learned about all the sales terms and packages, because I have never wanted to buy a new car. I mostly hate the big price tag, but also, because each of these is custom made, it can take weeks to get one from the factory.

Congratulations....sorry to hear about the 2010, but CarPlay is great.

I was just watching a video online of a guy who had the same problem with his oil cooler line. I think that they did replacements with metal lines.

Well, good luck with the new ride. Enjoy!

You saved thousands on buying this rather than new. And 26k mileage is very low. You might want to recheck the tire size. I believe those wheels are identical to my RX which happen to be 18 inch and not 20.

Can you advise what brand and model number the wireless hub you have is. I haven’t found one that works well yet. Thanks.

The V6 is a superbly refined engine. I have a 2022 as well and get almost 24 mpg with AWD. Tell me about the hub. I find the cable setup for Apple CarPlay a pain!

Why does the engine not shutting off make you uncomfortable? That’s something I personally can’t stand and was very happy my rx doesn’t do that.

Doesn't his car (or yours) have an "idle stop" shutoff switch?

2022 RX350 18" vs 20" Wheels

Besides size there is a visual difference. Also, the tire sidewall on the 18" wheel is 1" greater than the tire which is on a 20" wheel.

Congrats, I'm sure you will enjoy it. My wife leased a 2022 RX 4x2.and had no problems. When she returned it, the residual was enough to put down for a TX with zero money and $2 more a month payment. I tried to get her to purchase it, but happy wife sorta happy life.
