Started noticing this “tocking” sound while at idle/crawling speeds. Just had this engine resealed due to a coolant leak a few weeks ago, which could be possibly related. Does your RX350 (2016-2022) sound like this?

 

Can you elaborate on this? What was sealed and was this done at a dealer?

 

Timing cover reseal. They said it’s usually oil that leaks not the coolant side. When they took it apart it was because there was not a sufficient amount of sealant around the cover. It was done at the dealer under warranty.

 

Take it back there to get it scanned.

 

Which dealer in NJ?

This definitely is abnormal. Even the high pressure pump does not sound like this. Best to bring it back.

 

Sounds like the vacuum pump going bad.
