My wife has a 2022 RX 350 non-navigation. Trying to get Android Auto to attach wirelessly with Bluetooth, but there are no option selections to do so that we can find. It will bring up the Android Auto dash icon when phone is attached using a usb cable and work in that mode. Any Suggestions on how to make Android Auto icon appear/ work wirelessly?
Thank you for the help / replies. Saves much time trying to make wireless work when it won't.Considering this car will alert you when you aren’t in your lane while on highway, it’s pathetic it can’t do wireless Android Auto.
It’s only wired just like the recent gx460 update, while more inconvenient, I will say that wired is very consistent in connection and never drops out or glitches, maybe a mild benefit.
Yes. At the time it wasn't available in Canada, bought it off Amazon US. But one thing to keep in mind is that you may end up leaving it plugged in often for charging, as the wireless charging pad may be slower than how much is drained using wireless AA because both Bluetooth and wifi are on, not to mention location.

You make a good point that didn’t occur to me. What you are describing is that if aawireless adapter is installed and links automatically to Lexus and phone when car started (AA icon appears on display), and not using feature during driving, it’s still drawing on the phone running app in background, correct? Or does it only draw on phone battery when AA icon is selected, and maps are displayed on monitor?
If one needs to charge phone while AA is attached to Lexus, even if not using app, I don’t think there’s much advantage. Plug phone in as needed for AA is possibly better. This Lexus does not have wireless phone charge pad.
I have Android Auto in my 2022 Ram 1500 along with NAV, phone links immediately to AA when the truck is started running in the background even if not using and it’s drawing on the phone battery. I have a factory wireless charging pad in truck that’ll keep up with and charge the phone battery demand while driving. If I don’t have my phone on the charger while driving the phone power consumption is noticeable.

Whether or not you need to charge your phone while wirelessly connected to Android Auto depends on your drive time. I use wireless AA via an adapter every time I get in the car, but only occasionally plug it in to charge (my 2020 does not have a wireless charging pad.) If I drive for over an hour or late in the day when my phone battery is already low, I'll plug it in. I have a short (6"/15cm) USB cable plugged in the USB port right above the phone holder. Charging while driving, if necessary, is a non-event.
Here's another vote for the AAWireless adaptor. I originally used the Motorola MA1 adapter. It was mostly fine but would occasionally require a phone reboot. It quit working reliably, though, after about a year. So far the AAwireless adapter has been flawless. Having some configuration options and the ability to update the firmware are bonus benefits.
I have an aftermarket AA system, the VLite 2. 2017 didn't have AA/Carplay at all. It does allow for wire less AA/Carplay. If I am more than around town use, I just plug in via the charge port in the center armrest for chagrining. It seems like wireless AA can drain the battery quickly if you use it all day.
