Key programming - 2022 RX350
I apologize in advance if anyone has already asked this - I couldn't find anything in a brief search of this forum. I recently purchased a 2022 RX350 and am still waiting on the dealership to provide a second key that they promised. I previously owned a 2017 RX350 and still have a spare key from that vehicle, as it was totaled. The remotes are identical but have slightly different model numbers (Denso 14FLB and Denso 14FBB). I have a TOPDON scan tool that can program smart keys, but honesty, I am afraid to mess up the ECU or anything without knowing exactly what to. (I programmed a spare key for my Honda with virtually no effort but Lexus has a much different process). Can anyone advise the process on programming a spare key to a 2022 RX350? The worst case scenario, if done wrong?
(Back story on the Honda - 2015 Accord - I purchased the vehicle with only 1 key - that key was lost and I paid a locksmith to program 2 new keys. 1.5 years later I find the original key, which now did not work on the car. I was able to program that original key to the Accord within less than 2 minutes, with the TOPDON scan tool)
