Default Help: Tailgate won't open

Hi All,

We have a 2021 RX 350. Don't know what happened, but the tailgate no longer open automatically. Nothing happens when we try to open it with key ****, button near the steering wheel, or the button on the tailgate.

We can still unlock and open it manually, but it just won't open on its own.

Is this something we can easy fix at home, or do we need to bring it into the dealer?

Thanks!

thehaviet...found a YT video:
Per the video it appears that your Tailgate needs to be recalibrated. Hope this information helps.

Default Trunk won't open

I own a 2017 RX. Yesterday I tried to open it with the remote and inside dashboard button, but it wouldn't open. It just beeped. I can manually raise the trunk door but it sounds like a struggle. Anyone know the issue? The settings are not switched to manual either.

I had this happen before and it turned out the hydraulic lift on one side was cooked. Fortunately it was covered under warranty. This could be the issue, but I'm no expert.

I don't suppose there's an easy way to determine which side has gone bad? I've owned the car for a little over a year and the trunk has always sounded so loud when opening and closing. Just seems like it shouldn't be so noticeable. And in the winter when temps drop, whenever I'd press the button on the door to close it, it would immediately stop as if something is in the way. Then I press it again and it will close.

I was working at the Lexus dealership when it happened so I just took it in while I was working. I don't know how to tell which one it was. There were no visible signs. Sorry.
