Do some reading on dyno tuning the 2GR-FE engine, lots of options for us thankfully due to the MR2 community. Orangevirus and R9K Tuned to name a few, but I imagine more exist. Also, you can get a Lotus supercharger if you want, but it’s $$$.

Can you elaborate on the rear brakes getting too hot? Could be a seized piston or sliding pins, the rear brakes on these get about as hot as the fronts according to my temperature gun.

It may not be a great idea to try and modify the engine on a 12 year old vehicle with 200,000 KM (124,000 miles). Save your money for the next maintenance or thing that brakes. Boosting the power on this engine if it does not break it, may cause transmission failure.
You may gain enough power by changing the spark plugs and coil packs, doing a fuel induction service, cleaning the throttle body, changing the air filter and replacing the PCV valve, and changing the oil & filter.

Have you ever changed the transmission fluid? That should be done to help prevent future failure as you are at the mileage where it is more likely if on the original fluid.
Is it all wheel drive or front wheel drive?

As stated above, make sure your rear brake caliper slide pins are not frozen or stuck in the holes. That is a cause of overheating brakes. They need to be removed, cleaned and lubricated every couple of years as the grease dries out and the same applies to your front brakes.

I have changed my entire gear box at 160,000 and install brand new one
Car maintenance has been done on schedule and everything you stated above has been changed.
do you still think installing a turbo or supercharge be a bad idea for the engine?

Read post 2 and be prepared to spend at least $2500.00 US to do install a turbo or supercharger.
I can tell you that nobody on this forum has done that to their RX350. It is not that kind of vehicle. It is a luxury comfort type of ride.
You will have to do some searching on modfying the 2GR-FE engine.

If you want speed trade it in and get a used Jeep Grand Cherokee or Dodge Durango with the Hemi engine or a Ford Explorer ST.

Here is a link to a discussion about turbo chargers on the Toyota Highlander forum because it has the same engine and transmission as the RX350. I read it and would not install one on mine. Do some searching there.

At the end of the day, it depends how far you want to go into the rabbit hole. Boosting your RX will put more strain on your new gear box, and may reduce its lifespan. The engines can take more abuse but you’re also taking that risk as well, especially with the higher mileage. Getting a tune is a process in its own as well, depending on what exhaust, intake and or other engine mods you may want to do. Get ready to give up on 87 octane as well.

Before even getting more power, I would also upgrade the brakes and suspension as much as possible. This will make the car a lot more enjoyable to drive and will make it safely handle the new power, as these things are pretty soft from the factory.
