Default Upgrade soundsystem

Hello, i have a 2013 RX450h and want to upgrade the soundsystem. Want to start with adding an amp to the 9 speaker factory system. I would like to know if the radio has a 4 channel output that goes into the amp and that the amp powers the 9 speakers seperatly. I had this in my BMW e46 with Harman Kardon system. The amp is more like a crossover for the 11 speaker. In that case i put my amp between the headunit and amp. I want to know if i can use this method on the RX.

Try some searching as this has been asked about and discussed more than a few times. Just use simple terms like amplifier, or audio

You may also want to look at the audio forum

See what Crutchfield says will fit as they do the research and sell a lot of stuff https://www.crutchfield.com/S-GARLaVFEOPZ/

The best for last, see what this guy installed in his 2013 RX

I replaced ours 2011 RX 350 with these:

Focal 165 V30 (2 pairs front)
Focal 165 A1 (2 pairs rear)
ARC10 sub
ARC KS300.4
JL JX500
JL Audio CL441dsp.

The only down side is I lost the built-in bluetooth connection but I bought an external bluetooth connector and plugged it on the aux.

Speaker swaps are theoretically easy swaps, but when an active component is replaced a lot more needs to be investigated. Are signal levels in 3rd gen RX standard? First gen and other Lexus models [the ones I have dealt with] have non standard signals .... dual differential [l+, l-, r+, r- (where - are not ground)] and the amplitude is almost twice. Also the communication between active components is thru a serial communication link. Please share your findings.
