rx350 2010 - engine would not start (good battery)
Yesterday out of the blue my car would not start - power was on and lights/horn worked but engine would not start . Battery/alternator tests were all good ( took it to Autozone ) .
I am planning to take it to the dealer here but wanted to see if anyone has any ideas about potential causes . Unfortunately I don't know any independent shops that are convenient around here except my local oil change place .
It has about 113K miles on it.
Thanks in advance for any insights .

This happened to me once in 13 years (RX350 2008), and it was after a night of rain with an accumulation of leaves in plenum.
By turning on ignition, without trying to crank, several times for several minutes, it started, and never acted up again 3 years later stil good.
Suspected water intrusion on the immoblizer module, but with current of "oignition on" dried it out? Stil a mystery, even though I soaked that car with tons of water later to reproduce, but could not.
BTW, crank, no start points to immobilizer or fuel pump. Fuel pump is very quiet, but open fuel filer cap and listen when turning on ignition, should hear it inside the tank. And for the trolls, this will not blow you up...

I too suspect the fuel pump.
If you must go to a dealer any Toyota dealer can handle this if one is closer than Lexus. The RX is a Highlander with more luxury. Under the skin it is the same. Almost any independent shop can work on it as the same basic drivetrain is used on many other Toyota and Lexus models and has been for over 12 years and there are millions of them.

Fuel, air, spark (at proper time) are needed.
The spark can killed by imobilizer, so you make sure you have the right key (the one that was used a few days ago). Watch for the security light to go off. You can pull out a spark plug and lay it on the block and see if the spark is there [timing is another issue].
You can smell for unburnt fuel in the exhaust to confirm that the fuel is bring supplied. Starter fluid squat in the intake can substitute for fuel.
