Default 1A Auto Parts Quality

Hi Guys,

Has anyone used 1AAuto parts (https://www.1aauto.com/)? Could you please share your thoughts? I am thinking about replacing some of the suspension parts with their parts of course due to economic reasons. I have been doing all the car works by myself and I check my car every few months. So I dont mind going back and replace them in let's say 50k miles. The question is "can they last for up to 50k miles". How is their support and warranty?

Please let me know your thoughts.

Thanks.

What parts are you going to replace? What brands does 1AA sell? Is it all house brand, which is usually rebranded no name stuff? Have you cross shopped RockAuto?

Tie Rod End, Ball Joints, CV Axle, .... They have TRG and something else. Rock Auto does have KYB shocks for Lexus RX 350 2011 but they dont have CV Axle, but just CV Boot Kit.

You have to be careful about selecting CV Axles. There are many crappy rebuilt axles on the market. Quality is the most important issue, especially considering how difficult it is to replace them. I would lean toward spending more for a new axle instead of a rebuilt one.
However if yours is still good and you just have a leaky boot, it may be best to simply replace the boot after cleaning and regreasing the joint.

This comparison of OEM and aftermarket axles is interesting

For CV axles, the Cardone Remanufactured (DO NOT get "new" aftermarket axles, whether from Cardone or otherwise, make absolutely certain that it says "Cardone remanufactured"). I've had excellent experiences using Cardone remanufactured axles, they always fit as they are the OEM axles and they've always lasted just as long, if not longer than the stock axles do.

For ball joints and tie-rod ends, sometimes Moog (not their "R-series") likes to re-box 555 aka. Triple Five parts, which are Japanese-made and are very good quality, however from what I see in pictures of the products for this application, they are not 555 parts. Out of all of the options, I'd really suggest buying OEM, you'll spend less in the long run and have peace of mind. If you look at the difference in price between OEM vs. quality aftermarket, it's really not that far off. Look around online, I think you'll be surprised.

KYB is very decent for aftermarket shocks, so you'll be okay there.

I've seen teh guys in a Ford truck forum use 1A quite a bit, typically with glowing feedback. However, the one purchase I made from them (four new door handles to replace the 18yo ones in my own F250), lacked fit and finish quality I had grown to expect to see from them. I need to remove a couple of them to either sand down some gap clearances between the handles and the handle framework, or heat up the frames with my heat gun to soften and adjust them into wider clearances. At the moment, my DS door (and others) squawk/groan like an angry goose ever time I open the door .
