CEL came on with PO 0607 0138 and 1604 codes. From what I have read others that had just 06907 and 0138, a change of the O2 sensor (bank 1 sensor 2 from the 0138) solved the problem. I changed it out, cleared codes and CEL came back on with the same 3 codes as before. Anyone experience this and what sorted it?
I just had the P0138 and P0607 along with the Check engine light, Traction Light, and Service AWD drive light. I ordered the Denso O2 sensor off amazon and replaced that along with replacing my battery which was 5 years old. I drove it around after clearing the codes and nothing yet. My handheld code reader was able to display the O2 sensor reading and it didnt move at all so i was able to confirm the O2 sensor was dead. Did you use an OEM Denso O2 sensor?
I've heard some people say if the battery is starting to die it can cause weird issues and i figured mine was on borrowed time anyways.
I haven't had any experience with the P1604 Startability Malfunction code. Have you had issues with the car starting? Maybe stop by AutoZone or Advance Auto and have them check the battery/alternator/stater - its a Free Test.
