Default Seat belt latch

Anyone else have any seat belt latch issues?
The passenger side latch on my 2013 RX450h has been latching but not deactivating the belt warning light and bell without playing with the clip a lot. Now the latch itself won't close so the belt doesn't stay attached to the latch and a passenger has to sit in the backseat.
I guess I have to replace the latch. Anyone have any experience or know of a "how-to" video on this?

Ask dealer about any Lexus seat belt warranty. They may cover it. Safety equipment is different due to federal laws. Last year I got Honda to replace a broken latch on a 2003 Civic.
If not:
Get used latch on eBay. Disconnect battery.
Unbolt old one and unhook wire. Bolt in new latch and connect wire.
You may have to move the seat back and forth or remove it to get to the bolt.

Use this search term on eBay 2013 Lexus RX350 OEM seat belt buckle
Used ones are about $40

Try cleaning and lubing the latch. Sometimes that resolves these types of issues.

you may like to check the DIY in first gen RX. Price it at the dealer part store. I dont recall it to be an expensive part.

Default Seatbelt Latch and auto-gliding driver seat

When we first got our "new to us" 3-year old used 2015 RX350, it had a problem where the automatic driver seat glide back for exit feature was not working, even after being deactivated and reactivated on the menu.
Turns out. the Lexus tech found a bunch of paper napkin material jammed into the seatbelt latch. Latch was working fine, we had no idea, but due to the internal jam, the car always thought the belt was buckled, and never slid the seat back.
Technician pulled a bunch of paper napkin out with tweezers, and told my wife that she needs to stop letting her kids stuff paper into the latch, and next time he would charge her.

Funny thing, we don't have any kids!

But now, my wife won't let me even bring a paper napkin into the car!
