Random problems with my Audio inputs switching
Car is 2010 RX350 which I have had from new.
For the past few months I get this annoying issue that my audio input suddenly changes while I am driving - from FM through the cycle (FM1>FM2>SAT>CD>USB>AM etc) - sometimes just one step, sometimes several steps
At first (and most often) it seemed to happen when I was turning the wheel - so I assumed it must be a loose or chafed wire somewhere in the steering column or the selector buttons on the wheel. Recently it has happened when I haven't even turned the wheel so I an wondering whether the issue may be at the head unit.
I can go days without a problem, then have it happen several times within an hour or two driving.
Obviously no warranty, and I dont want to pay usurious dealer fees for a problem that's annoying but I can live with.
Any thoughts or suggestions? How will I go about getting at the wiring coming up the steering column ( I suspect an abraded wire) and/or pulling the selector switch to look for a loose or touching contact.
Sorry if this is a repost, I did search and found some older stuff about warranty issues but nothing specific as to symptons or a fix. A couple had the main head unit replaced.... Thanks.

I think the MODE button on the steering wheel will switch between the inputs, so maybe there is an intermittent short in that button? Did something get spilled in that area?
Try tapping on the Mode button vigorously, to exercise it and to make sure it's not sticking.
