Park Assist error
Have had to turn this off as it got triggered randomly and now will beep incessantly when stopped at light (with foot on brake). Happened twice before in last couple of years and fix was to turn it off and then on. Tried that a few times over the past week but didn’t work. Any other ideas? Thanks
Same thing happened to me - turned out the bumper had been hit slightly (bearly noticeable) but enough to brake the sensor connector which is held to the plastic bumper with a spring clip in behind.
There is a procedure for going around the car and testing if the sensors are clicking ( cant remember exactly, but google it). Once you have identified the faulty sensor, it is quite easy to replace. In my case it was the front corner sensor (these and the back corners are the most likely to get damaged), and for me it was easiest to remove the front headlight to get to the back of the sensor and remove it.
Dealer wanted a stupid price for a new one ( I think about $400 CAN), but bought one on Ebay for US$12 (from China), and all is now well in the world, works great.
Good luck
