I need to replace my lower control arm and would like to know which engine mounts to loosen up or remove
to access the bolts on the lower control arm
thanks
Just in case the plan is to DIY, please get hold of a long breaker bar and use 6point quality sockets. Lot of torque is needed to unthread them. I was sliding on the garage floor. Totally doable, but not a cake walk.
The video oversimplifies some and even skips the insertion of the bolts with the new control arm. Since the suspension was all hanging loose I had the hardest time to line-up the holes.
Another thing not mentioned here is the bolts need to left loose (not sloppy, but loose) and then torqued with the weight of the vehicle on ground. Bushings need to be in unstressed position.
