Hi all,

My power tailgate on my '15 rx isnt working. Whenever I attempt to press and of the power buttons it beeps twice at me. On that note my intermittent wipers don't work either. At first, I thought it had to be a blown fuse but the regular wipers work (low high and manuel). What can be the issue here?

Is there any warranty left? Sounds like 2 separate unrelated issues. How long have you had the car?

Have you made sure the valet shut off button in the glove box is set to let you open the hatch? Does it work with your fob button?

Does it stay up when you lift it manually? If it does not, then your hatch struts are shot and the motor cannot lift it without their help.

 

The tailgate was not working because of the valet button, kids must have been playing around and I forgot the Rx had that feature! As for the sensor I figured out that my rain sensor wiper broke off so I will be replacing that!

The rain sensor is on the windshield to the right of the rear view mirror. What broke on your wiper?

 

The entire encasing for the sensor and the sensor itself were hanging and when I reattached it still would not work (even with the rain we have had).
