Hi Stevies30,
I'm assuming you ran your cable through the RED option arrow vs the Green. I chose the longer version as I did not want to see any extra cables or risk them getting pinched in the future.

It looks like they've changed some things between your model and mine. It appears you only have one hinge on the left side of the liftgate and mine has a hinge on each side along with the lift pistons on each side. I'll have to take a picture and show you what mine looks like. I ran my wires from the outer tail light through the fender, up into the lift gate and down through the lift gate to the inner signal light. I did it that way on each side. With the lift gate fully open there is about 4" of the wires exposed (in the black casing) and I made sure they are not pinched when I close the lift gate. But then I didn't hook the lights together in the liftgate as it sounds like you did. After I get home from the Dr I will take some pics (Lord help me) and you can see what I did. I'll try your method of sending pics to the desktop first.
That's a pic from of Denzo's RX, however I also ONLY have ONE lift gate motor (hinge) on the left side as well. Actually just had the motor replaced through my insurance company 2 weeks ago. I thought all lift gates were the same but I could be wrong, send a pic if you can.

You were right Al, I was remembering it wrong. It's for the lift gate motor as you thought. Yes I did use the red arrow location. I opened the lift gate covering on the driver's side and saw one of the black oval plugs that I didn't have hooked up so I hooked that up (which had no effect on the lift gate signal light). Tomorrow I'll open the whole lift gate when I have more time and start looking for oval plugs and tracing wires. Thanks for your help.
