Hmm... that is a quite strange, and he's the forum moderator which makes it a little stranger... Guess that's why he hasn't gotten back to us ? I really don't want to settle for the V2's which are easily purchased through Amazon. I'm still crossing my fingers and hoping Chrispy will get back to us.
Stay safe,
AL

I tried to find some Crystal Eye V3 online today for my RX350 and it says they're no longer available, at least from one vendor. They had lights for most other Lexus models though which I thought was odd.

Hi Denzo,
Question... now that you have found out the cable was the issue. Would you wire a different way, choose a different path ? I only ask because the V3's are so hard to find that I may settle on V2 and do not want to run into the same issues you had to deal with. Any advise would be much appreciated.
Many thanks !

I used Rakuten and also contacted Crystal Eye directly. I finally did find the V3 Red/Clear tail lights but they are around $1,000 delivered to USA

Hi HiHoSilver.
I'm still looking because I really like the V3 and I'd like to have a pair. From what I've seen, the V3 has been around for several years but I only became aware of it through this thread. If you get any new information about them please let me know!

Hi Stevie,
Rakuten has them for around $400.00 plus shipping but setting up account through Rakuten Japan is like pulling teeth so I don't see myself using their services even though the prices are sooo cheap.
I found them through Nengun and you can have them shipped for around $1,000 USD (I'm assuming you found the same contact) which is a little too rich for my blood and my wife would kill me lol. I'm going to a BBQ later today and the host owns a big auto-body repair business here in NYC so I'm going to ask him if he has any connection to overseas parts. Crossing my fingers...

Al,
Yes, we both saw them on the Nengun site where they're right at $1,000 delivered. I don't trust Rakuten and you're right about it being a big hassle to set up an account with them. I don't have a wife but I do have a bank account that would kill me, lol. Let me know what you find out from your body repair guy. I want a pair if he can get them. There has to be some way to get these lights without paying a fortune.

Hi Stevie,
Unfortunately I've struck out again. Looks like I will most likely pull the trigger on the V2 version from Amazon for under $400 and take apart the lift-gate to wire properly. If there are any issues I know that I have peace of mind knowing that I can return and Amazon will refund back to my account no questions asked. I could only imagine the nightmare it would be to have to "return" something back to Japan if something were to go wrong. Being that the V2's have been around for years, and finally just available in the states I can only assume it will be a couple more years before the V3s are readily available here. If anything changes, I'll let you know.

It looks like I may follow in your footsteps on this Al. I really like the sequential signal lights of the V3, but I can't justify spending a lot of money for it. PM me and keep me posted on what you think of the tail lights.

Hi Stevie,
I've ordered the V2 and expect them this week, BTW the V2 are also sequential, the sequence goes across BOTH tail lights unlike the V3 where it only goes across the outer (quarter panel) tail-light only. I'll follow-up later in the week when I receive them, hopefully I can install them within the next couple of weeks.

I didn't know that. I know the V3's are plug and play which would greatly simplify things but I think I'll follow your lead and order some V2's. By the way, who did you buy them from?

Hi Stevie,
I actually got them on Ebay from the seller below, he's on Amazon as well but I got a 10% coupon through Ebay so I basically saved on the tax. Paid $357.80 which included the high intensity LED bulbs for the reverse lights, that's a steel.... Check out the you-tube link so you can see the sequential lights in action, I'm sure you'll like... Yes, more involved with the installation but I'm sure I'll figure it out, also have a friend at a local auto-body shop who said he'd help me out if I ran into problems. I was actually there today looking at another RX that was taken apart so I took some notes for reference, hopefully I will not need any help, fingers crossed.

Well wouldn't you know that he doesn't have any of these that fit my 2013 RX350. It's only available for 2010-2012. Anyway, enjoy yours and I look forward to seeing the pictures! Thanks for your help.

Hey Steveis30,

I think they do work on the 2013's, VIPmotoZ told me that they wouldn't work on my Canadian built 2011 Lexus RX350. They said it's "designed for the american models" which DON'T exist, they're ALL made in Canada so they really don't know what they are talking about. I'm pretty sure I can take your OEM tail-lights and pop them right into my 2011 RX350 without any modification, check out the Forum I'm sure they are many who have already done so. If that is the case, then you are good to go, it's worth taking a look... Good luck bro !
