Default Need advice on a OE or OEM part

Driving on one of the not so debris free Los Angeles highway system this weekend, I ran over a mysterious debris kicked up by a nice driver who happen to cut me off as I was already positioning my car to avoid the darn thing. It, then, flew up about 8 inches and knocked out this part https://www.parts.com/index.cfm?fuse...iagram=8951695 it's number 13 with the part number 527110E060,

My question is this: I see that there are different prices for the genuine OEM part ranging from $85 to $130 and seemingly harmless OE part that range from $45 to $55. https://www.carid.com/replace/front-...lx1017101.html Given that this item is just a molded piece of plastic that does not require a paint job, I'm inclined to go with an OE part.

What do the cognoscentis on this forum think about my decision on the look, fit and longevity?

For body panels and body parts I generally try to stay with OEM. Over the years I've found that while there are good aftermarket pieces out there, it's kind of a crap shoot when it comes to if it will fit or not and if you have to make modifications or not.

That being said, for older cars there are many parts and pieces that just are not available new, as OEM or aftermarket, anymore. The interesting thing is, a salvaged part from an automotive recycler will almost always work. If it didn't originally, someone has already gone through the work to make it fit.

Being kind of new I'm not sure how many '13-'15 RX's are available to pick through, but a used part from a wreck may be a cheaper option and I'd guess the chances are pretty good it will be OEM.

You can try calling these folks, but they may only want to sell a complete bumper http://www.rancholexusrecycling.com/
